A while ago I moved my personal blog from roberthodgen.com to where it is now, robert.hodgen.me. I left that old blog up all this time mainly because I didn’t have any ideas as to what to do with it. I figured the old domain would make an excellent portfolio/hub type website so I whipped up a quick and if I might add good looking design complete with java script goodness for a nice web 2.0 styling.
After spending a few hours on the road looking at nothing except for what you see below, I’ve finally made it to Tallahassee for the Srping 2010 term at Florida State University. Looking forward to orientation, moving into my dorm and starting classes later this week.
Swap It, my iPhone App for swapping pasteboards (clipboards) using Bluetooth has been featured on O’Reilly’s Best iPhone Apps site and named Best App for Beaming Text and Photos.
It is an honor to see Swap It rated as a Top Pick by a well known site and media outlet such as O’Reilly.
So Apple has decided to feature my latest application for iPhone and iPod touch, Swap It. This is the second time Apple has featured software that I’ve written, albit this is the first time in iTunes.
Swap It Featured in iTunes
It is currently under the New and Noteworthy category, which is highlighted on the App Store page in iTunes. It’s also visible about half way down on the iPhone’s App Store app under Featured.
For anyone who’s reading my blog but hasn’t yet heard of Swap It, read more about it at SwapItApp.com. Swap It is my take on pasteboard sharing for the iPhone and iPod touch.
For anyone else who has a Google Wave account my address is roberthodgen [at] googlewave [dot] com. I’ve got to say I’m very interested to see how Google Wave works with people other than friends and family.
If you also have a Google Wave account I won’t mind a random wave.
This video is epic, before watching it I had no idea you could get something that heavy that high without using rockets or something else ridiculous. Also I think its kind of weird I found this on Gizmodo. You gotta love redneck country fun.
I wonder how this whole anvil shooting thing started and why there is a world record for it?
For the last several months I’ve been working on my next iPhone app for iPhone and iPod touch, Swap It. Swap It is an App that lets you swap or share your iPhone’s pasteboard (clipboard) with another user of Swap It.
Swap It is scheduled for release on October 12, 2009 (tomorrow). Look for it in the iTunes App Store.
